International Champions Cup: Match Update 5

Andre Silva celebrates his goal against Barcelona with teammate Franck Kessié.

These past few days in the International Champions Cup have seen some great play by the stars, warming up for the upcoming 2018/19 season while recovering from the hype of the World Cup.

Inter Milan faced Lyon at Lecce, which was the second match of both teams. Inter had lost their first to Chelsea while Lyon had won over Benfica. While Handanović guarded the Inter-goal well, Lautaro Martínez scored the only goal of the match at 52' with a decent ball from Dalbert. Inter won the match 1-0 and handed Lyon their first defeat.
Real Madrid played against Juventus at Landover and after the defeat by Man United, they got over Juventus, who still haven't played Ronaldo and are saving him for the season. Dani Carvajal scored an own goal at 12', giving Juve an early lead. But Gareth Bale leveled at 39', and Marco Asensio added two more at 47' and 56', enough to get a win for the Madridian club.
AC Milan's match against Barcelona was the most tense, as both teams were unable to score for 90 minutes. Many fumbled chances and near misses were seen, but André Silva at last netted one, 3 minutes into stoppage time, and last year's champions Barcelona dropped down to the last spot on the table.
