Premier League starts with a bang

Man United captain Paul Pogba scores the first goal of the 18/19 BPL season.

The much awaited 2018/19 season of the Barclays Premier League has kicked-off with Manchester United winning over Leicester City at Old Trafford.

José Mourinho made the recent World Cup winner Paul Pogba the captain of the Red Devils, as Antonio Valencia was missing from the lineup. Pogba led beautifully, scoring the first goal of the season on a penalty at 3'. Leicester had a little edge on the stats, but they could not get the ball near the box. This continued throughout normal time, with United getting another goal with a great precision shot by Luke Shaw at 83'. But Fantastic Mr. Fox Jamie Vardy had one last trick up his sleeve, and at 90+2' on the clock, a ball by Ricardo Pereira struck the sidebar. He headed in the deflected ball and scored a  last-minute goal to end the match 2-1.
